Cologne, January, 16-22, 2012.
“As an interior design platform for premium brands, this year’s Pure Village was the ideal format for presenting our unusual collaboration. Especially for the imm cologne 2011, we and our three partners devised a holistic concept to show what a creatively designed bathroom landscape can look like. We combined forward-looking materials, innovative technologies and elaborate manufacturing with creativity, aesthetics and a very human touch. It was fantastic to see how interested visitors to Pure Village were in our ideas. This year we also took the opportunity to participate in the new LivingKitchen event with our own booth. All in all, we were able to make a lot of new contacts during the imm cologne and had some very interesting talks.”
Dr. Ulrike Heuser-Greipl, Senior Vice President Public & Investor Relations/Press Officer Grohe AG
“Once again, the imm cologne lived up to its reputation as one of the leading trade fairs and public shows in the interior design sector, attracting over 100,000 visitors. Kaldewei – European market leader for top-quality steel-enamel bathtubs and shower trays – was making its first appearance at the imm cologne to present its premium products for sophisticated bathroom culture. The innovative Pure Village concept, which brings heterogeneous product groups together within a single exhibition, proved itself very impressively. Thanks to the consistent booth design in Pure Village, the focus of the presentations was very clearly on the renowned design brands’ products. The very interesting and varied series of lectures at “The Stage” rounded the successful concept off perfectly. In particular, our numerous talks with interior architects and planners were extremely interesting. But the products we were showing also met with a great deal of interest from visitors during the Public Days as well.”
Marcus Möllers, PR Officer Franz Kaldewei GmbH & Co. KG
“The Pure Village concept was a success in every respect and also caters to small, up-and-coming exhibitors. After two presentations in Cologne as part of the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry’s promotional booth, our presentation in Hall 3.2 gave us the chance to showcase not just the further developments in our products but Mocoba’s dynamic growth as well. The booths are professionally constructed. And it would be hard for us to achieve the same level of booth professionalism right now. The fact that the companies’ booth design is no longer the dominant factor also makes a pleasant change – it’s much more a question of the product. It’s also nice that, visually, there’s a pleasantly calm feel to the hall as well. And we very much appreciated the all-round package, which included e.g. free parking behind the hall, a prepaid card for The Club, the WLAN connection and support during the set-up phase.”
Klaus Kiefer, CEO Mocoba
“For the second year running, the imm cologne’s colour trends were produced and coded using the NCS (Natural Colour System). It all worked out perfectly and the Trend Book provides a valuable basis for furniture manufacturers, furniture dealers, designers and architects. It means that all the trend colours identified can be used for new collections immediately, and will also soon be available from many mixing machines in the form of furniture varnish or wall paint.
We’re delighted that we reached so many visitors with the ‘Will yellow be the new pink?’ lectures on ‘The Stage’ in Pure Village. Lots of interested visitors, most of them highly qualified professionals, came to our booth and discussed even the finest of nuances with us. A fantastic platform that drew an incredible response. Many thanks for the fruitful collaboration!”
Dr. Hildegard Kalthegener, NCS Farbschule
“We really enjoyed our time in Pure Village. Thanks to the innovative concept, we were able to present our products in an exclusive setting. And of course we’re delighted that visitors and exhibitors alike showed so much interest in our products. The “plaza” in Pure Village was a great idea, by the way, and went down really well with visitors as a meeting point and a good place to take a break. As far as we’re concerned, our first time at the imm cologne was a thoroughly positive experience!”
Margit Schäpermeier, Marketing RAL Farben
“I think Pure Village was even better this year. As soon as you entered the hall it was obvious that it wasn’t just another classic hall concept but a very special variety of trade fair presentation, divided up into smaller sections but exciting, inspiring and refreshing as a result. I also thought the Trend Show was very well done this year – it was nicely condensed – and I enjoyed the breath of fresh air from the design newcomers. And to judge by what I heard from neighbouring booths, it seems to have been a success in business terms as well. For us it was a nice opportunity to do what we can’t do at the Design Post: show a mix of the collections. We had a lot of fun with our Design Post community.”
Volker Streckel, Design Post
“Once again, I went away with a very positive impression of the imm cologne and I’m very surprised about the new products and trends as well. The trade fair was quite mixed and had something interesting and worth seeing for everybody’s taste. I’m convinced it was the perfect place for our exposition. We felt very much at home amidst the young designers and all those creative ideas. Pure Village is a concept based on modular architecture that permits real living room decorations that give you a different perspective. Hall 3.2 was a great attraction at imm 2011!
The structure was very good. Everything was clear and easy to find. The visitor structure was very mixed, with people coming from all over the world, but especially from European countries close to Germany. It would be great if we could participate in the imm cologne again in 2012.”
José A. Gandia-Blasco, Gandia Blasco
“This year Pure Village was offering everything that’s important to a design-oriented company like Vial: bright, open booths that could be individually lit, an international public with a great affinity for good design, a creative mix of participants – including the Design Talents – and last but not least a vivacity that we, as representatives of “convivial living”, found thoroughly convincing. We made a lot of highly qualified contacts in Pure Village, and it was great fun to be part of this very successful whole!
