Arré arrives for the second time at imm cologne after presenting mediodesign form Barcelona last year at the D3 professionals section. This time, Arré comes to Cologne with an extended collection, including the work of three design studios: Kellie Smits from the Netherlands, BlueChains studio from Miami and Mediodesign from Barcelona. Arré is presenting three new products at the imm cologne, the Insekt desk, Capital Chair and the L-shelf.
At Pure Village, Christian Dorn, owner of design studio Stiltreu, will be presenting his new seating furniture in a collection that bears his own name. According to Dorn, the products reflect the special importance he attaches to a mixture of clear design vocabulary and a love of detail.

But how, in 2011, to communicate this Thonet ‘soul’? With its new Essence 01 collection book, the company, located in the North Hess town of Frankenberg, has found the way.
Sustainability and eco-compatibility – two terms that prompted bathroom furniture manufacturer Burgbad to take 4.5 million euros and invest it in new paintshops in Bad Fredeburg and Nogent le Roi, France. The new facilities use only water-based paint so as to avoid the harmful effects of volatile organic compounds.
The use of bentwood for excellent seating comfort has always been a hallmark of Thonet‘s seating furniture. Introduced three years ago, Stefan Diez‘s 404 chair series has further developed this theme, using new wood processing techniques and building a bridge between tradition and contemporary interior design. Thonet has extended the successful 404 collection with two new and distinctive designs: the 405 PF and the 406 PF padded armchairs, furniture that provides relaxing seating comfort for the home as well as for hotels, restaurants and bars.
Ceramiche Refin presents Cromie. The new collection grew out of an innovative ‘colour project’ that is intended to ensure the reliable reproducibility of certain tile shades years even years down the line.
