Even as small children, we learn from fairytales that a mirror can confirm the beauty of the person standing in front of it. But a mirror that can play its owners’ favourite music is new.
Following the launch of its soundboard Hohrizontal 51, Finite Elemente is planning to enhance the field of invisible sound integration with another stunning development in the form of its Mirror 62 sound mirror. Even so, at first glance, the new product is just a perfectly normal mirror. The first time you experience it, says the Sauerland-based manufacturer, it’s almost impossible to tell where the music is coming from: the mirror conceals a complete music system in a thoroughly minimalist design.
The audio technology at the heart of Mirror 62 is based on that of Hohrizontal 51, optimised for flat-surface wall mounting. The desired music can be supplied via Bluetooth using an iPod, iPhone and other devices. Regardless of whether you put it in the living room, dressing room, bathroom or study and whether you opt for a vertical or horizontal format – thanks to Mirror 62, you can listen to music anywhere in the house or apartment without having to install a separate stereo system. The sound mirror comes in three different sizes and is available in the classic colours black, white and silver or as a frameless version.
